Convert and Upload DJI Phantom 3 4K videos to YouTube on Mac OS X El Capitan

1. Launch the 4K video converter and import 4K source from DJI Phantom 3 to it.

2. Choose output format via clicking the Format bar. To share your DJI Phantom 3 4K movies with 30fps on YouTube, .mov, .mpeg4, .avi, .3gp formats from “Common Video” or “HD Video” are all the proper output.

Resolution: 4:3 (640 x 480) or 16:9 (1280 x 720). When the video is uploaded to the site, YouTube will make it 16:9 or add vertical black bars (for 4:3). So, please remember not to add horizontal black bars before uploading a video.

Bitrate: Bitrate is different from screen resolution and is highly related to video codec. Actually, it is less important than other factors to consider before YouTube uploading. YouTube experimented with Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (MPEG-DASH), which is an adaptive bit-rate HTTP-based streaming solution optimizing the bitrate and quality for the available network.

5. Press the big “Convert” button to start encoding DJI Phantom 3 4K video to YouTube. After the conversion, you can sign into YouTube and upload the converted 4K files onto YouTube sharing with more people. Keep in mind that YouTube doesn’t process all resolutions at the same speed. So generally the lower resolutions, 144p, 240p, 480p show up first followed by higher resolutions and then sometimes a day later 2K and 4K resolutions.
